Nagasaki University has signed a partnership agreement with Japan Airlines (JAL) with the aim of promoting and developing local communities, exchanging and utilizing human and intellectual resources, and fostering well-educated international human resources.We will cooperate in mutual exchanges between Nagasaki University students, faculty and staff, and Japan Airlines employees, and inviting international students to the new faculty that Nagasaki University plans to open.
At the signing ceremony of the agreement held at Nagasaki University, President Shigeru Kono of Nagasaki University and Masamitsu Mizonoue, the manager of Japan Airlines' Kyushu / Yamaguchi district, attended and signed the agreement, and then shook hands firmly.President Kono said, "I would like to enhance cooperation so that the educational and research results of our university can be utilized in the business of Japan Airlines," and Manager Mizonoue said, "I would like to support students who fly out to the world and contribute more to Nagasaki."
Nagasaki University plans to open a new faculty of information systems in 2020 to train human resources who make full use of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data.The new faculty is expected to invite excellent human resources from overseas such as China and Vietnam as international students and have them play an active role in their home countries after graduation, and will work to secure human resources in cooperation with Japan Airlines.
Japan Airlines will provide back-up support for the "Nagasaki Breakthrough Project" in Nagasaki, which will foster human resources who will contribute to the development of local communities from a global perspective, and Nagasaki University has gained through past educational and research activities. Provide knowledge and utilize it in the business of Japan Airlines.
Furthermore, we will promote mutual exchange of human and intellectual resources, aim to develop human resources who can be used in the international community, and to make Nagasaki an international urbanization.
