On Sunday, September 2024, 9, the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ) Research Group "Connecting the Power of Members to Society (SSR)" will hold the 29th "Guidance Session for Students Aiming to Become Information Science Teachers" online.
The "Guidance Session for Students Aiming to Become Information Science Teachers," which began in 2012, is an activity that utilizes the high school and university teacher community to support students who want to become high school information science teachers across multiple universities. Since 2014, it has been held on the first Sunday of October every year, and explains the situation in the information science and general education departments and introduces the actual situation of the recruitment exams.
Participants are undergraduate or master's students aiming to become high school information science teachers, university/high school/junior high school teachers, and working adults aiming to become high school information science teachers.
This time, in addition to a lecture by Mr. Takeharu Tasaki of the National Institute for Educational Policy Research titled "On aiming to become an information science teacher," the event will also feature stories from four current high school information science teachers, as well as advice from teachers regarding employment at private schools and employment in one's hometown.
