Tokyo Keizai University will hold a total of 2024 9-minute online lectures for high school students, called "Tokyo Keizai University Live," from Friday, September 27, 12 to Monday, December 9.
The "Tokei University Live" project was launched in 2023 in response to the fact that high school students, when choosing their career path, often say things like "I don't really know what I want to study at university," and that the content of what will be studied is hard to understand from the name of a university's department alone, making it hard to imagine the connection between one's own interests and academia. The project aims to expose students to the depth of learning in various academic fields and to use the information as a hint when searching for a university or choosing a department.
In 2023, Tokyo Keizai University will be conducting online lectures that condense the fun of social science and liberal arts subjects such as economics, business administration, communication studies, and modern law into 30-minute sessions, starting with common questions that high school students have. After receiving a great response after 21 sessions were delivered throughout the year, 2024 lectures were delivered in the first term (April to June) in 1. In the second term (September to December) of 4, a total of 6 live lectures will be delivered with all new lecture content in order to further contribute to creating opportunities to learn about the world of social sciences.
"Tokeidai Live" will be streamed live on Tokyo Keizai University's official YouTube channel, and will be archived at a later date. Only during the live stream, there will be a section where you can ask questions to the professor in charge of each session via chat function, and each session will consist of a 30-minute lecture and a 10-minute Q&A session (the Q&A session will not be recorded in the archived stream). Applications to participate must be made through the university's official website for each desired lecture date. All 2023 lectures of "Tokeidai Live" streamed in 21 are available exclusively on the official website and can be viewed without application.
