On Wednesday, September 2024, 9, the Showa Women's University Graduate School of Welfare Co-Creation Management, a designated graduate school for the Master Consumer Life Advisor program, will co-host a symposium with the Japan Finance and Economics Education Promotion Organization (J-FLEC) entitled "Consumer-oriented Financial and Economic Education: The Role of J-FLEC Certified Advisors." The event will be held both in person and online, and participation is free.
With the establishment of the Japan Financial and Economic Education Promotion Organization (J-FLEC) sparking renewed interest in the need for financial and economic education among consumers, the symposium will examine the advice provided by J-FLEC certified advisors and the role they should play, particularly from the consumer's perspective.
The event will include a lecture by J-FLEC (Japan Financial and Economic Education Promotion Organization) Chairman Ando Satoshi entitled "The aims and strategies behind establishing J-FLEC" and a lecture by Associate Professor Kakino Narumi of Hosei University Graduate School entitled "New developments in collaboration between consumer education and financial and economic education", as well as a panel discussion.
