Reitaku University will establish a new "Faculty of International Studies" in April 2020 (under planning).
The "Faculty of International Studies" to be newly established by Reitaku University consists of 2 departments and 3 majors (International Department: Japanese Studies / International Communication Major / International Exchange / International Cooperation Major, Global Business Department: Global Business Major). We aim to foster global leaders who can respond to the international community by connecting academic fields that span social sciences.
In the "Japanese Studies / International Communication Major", international students from Asia and the EU, who occupy one-third of the class, and Japanese students will study Japanese culture and society together and cultivate the internationality of the students. The "International Exchange / International Cooperation Major" is to learn the knowledge and theory of international exchange, tourism, and international cooperation, and acquire the learned knowledge and theory through practical problem-solving learning opportunities at home and abroad.The target career image is international civil servants, Ministry of Foreign Affairs professionals, Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers, etc. The "Global Business Major" thoroughly strengthens English proficiency on the premise of studying abroad.While studying abroad, develop global leaders who will play an active role in the global society while studying economics and business administration in English as a regular study abroad program.The capacity is planned to be 3 (1 in each department).
