Juntendo University has signed an inter-university partnership agreement with Tokyo Woman's College of Physical Education and Tokyo Woman's College of Physical Education. The agreement will combine Juntendo University's medical knowledge with Tokyo Woman's College of Physical Education's knowledge of physical education to promote joint research projects and deepen exchanges between faculty, staff, and students.
According to the Juntendo Educational Corporation, which operates Juntendo University, the signing ceremony for the partnership agreement was held at Tokyo Woman's Physical Education University in Kunitachi, Tokyo, and the agreement was signed by Juntendo University President Hiroyuki Shirota and Tokyo Woman's Physical Education University and Tokyo Woman's Physical Education Junior College President Kazuhide Kaneko.
The areas of cooperation listed in the agreement are:
- Mutual exchange of faculty, staff and students for education and research purposes
・Planning and implementing joint research projects
・Joint implementation of capacity building programs for teachers and university staff
・Planning and implementing lectures and symposiums
・Comprehensive use of facilities and equipment

Juntendo University was founded in 1838 as Wada-juku, a Dutch medical school. It currently operates as a comprehensive health university with nine faculties, five graduate schools, and six affiliated hospitals, with a focus on medical care. Since their founding in 9, Tokyo Woman's College of Physical Education and Tokyo Woman's College of Physical Education have been working to train female physical education teachers. It is hoped that the diverse knowledge of different fields will come together to produce joint research with new perspectives.
