The university, which has 9 departments across nine faculties covering humanities, science, engineering, and art, has set a goal of becoming a "global comprehensive university that integrates the arts and sciences" in its mid-term plan through 21, and is working to create a diverse educational program. To take advantage of the university's integration of the arts and sciences, three types of entrance exams have been set up: "humanities type," "science type," and "arts type." For students who have focused on science, the "science type" method has been expanded to include the Faculty of Human Sciences, Faculty of Economics, and Faculty of Arts, while the "humanities type" method allows humanities students to take the exam for the Faculty of Life Sciences, which is often thought of as a science-only faculty.
In addition, for the general selection early schedule, you can apply for "general selection (designated subjects)", "combined type (3 subjects)", or "combined type (designated subjects)" on each test date based on the general selection (3 subjects). The combined type requires you to take the University Entrance Common Test. You can apply to multiple faculties and departments if the subjects are the same.
In addition, an information session on the 2024 general selection and other entrance exams will be held for high school seniors (including graduates), their guardians, and high school officials at Kyushu Sangyo University Building No. 12 in Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City from 10:17 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 3 (reservations required). In addition to the information session, campus tour, and dormitory consultations, individual consultations will also be held from 2025:18 p.m.
