The Medical University of Hokkaido, which will move its campus from Tobetsu Town, Hokkaido to Kitahiroshima City in spring 2028, signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Seisa Dohto University in Kitahiroshima City on December 2024, 12. The two private universities, both with campuses in the same city, will promote academic and faculty exchanges.

 According to the Medical University of Hokkaido, the signing ceremony for the agreement was held at Kitahiroshima City Hall, and in the presence of Kitahiroshima Mayor Ueno Masami, President Mikuni Kumi of the Medical University of Hokkaido and President Iihama Hiroyuki of Seisa Dohto University signed the agreement, with Mayor Ueno expressing his expectations.

・Promotion of educational and academic exchange
・Promoting interaction between students and faculty
・Regional revitalization and development of local human resources
After the relocation of Hokkaido Medical University, the two schools in Kitahiroshima City will join forces to promote the region and develop human resources to lead it. Joint classes between the two schools are also planned.

 The Medical University of Hokkaido has six medical faculties, including the Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Faculty of Nursing and Welfare, and six graduate schools, including the Graduate School of Dentistry and Graduate School of Pharmacy. The total number of enrolled students is 6 (as of May 6, 3505). In October 2024, the university signed a basic agreement with Kitahiroshima City and Fighters Sports & Entertainment Co., Ltd. on joint urban development, and in the spring of 5, the university will move to Hokkaido Ballpark F Village, centered around Escon Field Hokkaido, the home stadium of the professional baseball team Nippon Ham Fighters.

 Seisa Dohto University has a campus near F Village and has three faculties and four departments: the Faculty of Social Welfare, the Faculty of Business Administration, and the Faculty of Fine Arts. There are 3 students enrolled (as of May 4, 1041).

 President Mikuni of the Medical University of Hokkaido commented, "I hope that through collaboration between the two schools, we will be able to solve social issues that are difficult for a single university to solve," while President Iihama of Seisa Dohto University commented, "We would like to contribute to the realization of a symbiotic society, which is our university's mission, through collaboration with the Medical University of Hokkaido."
