Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) has established the "TUJ Partnership Scholarship" for high school students in Yamanashi, Nagasaki, and Ehime prefectures. TUJ has signed comprehensive partnership and cooperation agreements with the three prefectures, and provides English training programs for local teachers and internship opportunities for TUJ students. The scholarship program will be implemented to promote "contribution to the school," which is included in the purpose of the agreement.

With the cooperation of each local government, the TUJ Partnership Scholarship selects one student from among applicants who meet the application requirements, and the student receives a 1% reduction in full-time tuition fees for two consecutive semesters after enrollment. The amount of the scholarship per student is approximately 2 yen. To receive the scholarship, students must have a grade point average (GPA) of 1 or higher at TUJ during the scholarship period, and students who enroll in the summer semester must take full-time courses in both the summer and fall semesters (85 or more credits in the summer semester and 5,000 or more credits in the fall semester).

Eligibility to apply is for high school students enrolled in a high school or secondary school located in a municipality with which the agreement is concluded, who wish to enroll in a TUJ undergraduate program. The application deadline is Saturday, February 2025, 2 at 15:5 p.m. Details are available on the TUJ website.

TUJ is hosting a short-term domestic study abroad program this spring, welcoming approximately 2022 high school students from Yamanashi Prefecture (concluded in December 12) to TUJ, and plans to continue this program in the future. Nagasaki Prefecture and Ehime Prefecture, which began partnerships in March 25, are considering implementing a short-term domestic study abroad program for high school students at a new location in Kyoto in the summer of 2024. In addition, TUJ is also discussing the possibility of long-term internships in the tourism industry for TUJ students with Nagasaki Prefecture.

Ehime Prefecture held a skills improvement training for the prefecture's English teachers and assistant language teachers (ALTs) on November 2024, 11, with over 29 participants. At the municipal level, TUJ has partnered with Setagaya and Minato wards in Tokyo, and recently signed an agreement with the Osaka Prefectural Board of Education in November 200. TUJ's long-standing mission is to build intercultural bridges and promote the globalization of higher education.
