The AI teaching material "atama+" developed by AI teaching material atama plus will be used in the pre-enrollment education of students entering the College of Economics at Nihon University in 2025. By studying Japanese and English units designated by the college, students will be able to improve their reading comprehension and English skills that will be necessary after enrollment.
According to atama plus, AI teaching materials are used by students who have been admitted through the comprehensive selection process, school recommendation process, or alumni quota selection. In recent years, more than half of all students have been admitted through the comprehensive selection process or school recommendation process, where admission is decided the year before admission. However, since there is a period of time between admission and admission, pre-admission education is being promoted in order to smoothly connect students to undergraduate classes.
Nihon University's College of Economics has previously encouraged students to submit book reports on economics-related books and take online English courses, but due to the large number of students involved, it was difficult to provide accurate feedback to each individual. Therefore, the university decided to use AI-based learning materials that create optimal curricula based on each student's level of understanding in order to improve their abilities.
Koichi Tezuka, Dean of the College of Economics at Nihon University, commented, "We hope that the introduction of AI teaching materials will help develop individual abilities before enrollment and serve as the first step toward becoming a talented person who can thrive in society."
