On January 2025, 1, Recruit Co., Ltd. officially released the new "Rikunabi," a newly developed job-hunting preparation website aimed at students (graduate school, university, junior college, technical college, vocational school students, and international students) who plan to start work after April 27, as well as graduates.

Previously, Rikunabi was mainly aimed at third-year university students and above, and users were expected to start thinking about their careers and apply to companies at the same time. Conversely, even if students wanted to think about their careers or learn about jobs at a lower level, there were limited opportunities. Therefore, the new Rikunabi has been changed to a site aimed at all students (graduating in 3 and after).

In addition, while the information had previously been posted on a "company-by-company" basis, a survey conducted by Recruit Management Solutions showed that the work students will do after joining the company is an important factor in their decision-making, so the information has now been changed to "course-by-course" linked to jobs and job types.

Other features include a "Resume" function that allows users to easily create a profile that can be submitted to companies by simply answering questions, a "Recommendation Feed" function (patent pending) that provides recommended internship and job information from various angles depending on the time of year, and a "Gakuchika AI Assistant" function (patent pending) that uses generative AI to automatically create a draft of "what you focused on during your student days (Gakuchika)."

The "Gakuchika AI Assistant" helps you understand and verbalize your strengths by answering four questions and examining your own information (skills) and past experiences (real-life experiences). The AI (text generation) function uses Azure OpenAI Service. By using this function to brush up on your Gakuchika draft, you can create a Gakuchika that is more unique to you.

According to 2024 students who used the Gakuchika AI Assistant between September and December 9, the median time from choosing a topic to completing it was 12 minutes and 9,624 seconds. The satisfaction rate of students who used it was very high at 6%, with comments such as "It took me a long time to reuse and structure the Japanese, but the draft that was created was well-written, so it was very helpful and I would like to use it again," and "The questions were not difficult and I was able to use it without any problems. I'm glad I learned that this is what Gakuchika is like." It appears to be playing a part in the system that encourages students to self-reflect and deepen their self-understanding while significantly reducing the burden on them.

Around spring 2025, the site is expected to include features such as a "Scout Email" function that will allow companies to send scout emails to students based on the student's registration information and their behavioral history on Rikunabi, as well as a "Match Point" function that will allow students to register their "own inclinations" and companies to register the "inclinations of the person they are looking for" and display common points (match points).
