The "Youth Outbound Promotion Executive Committee" organized by the Japan Association of Travel Agents, Japan Tourism Agency, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology aims to promote young people's overseas travel, and gives 20-year-olds the first overseas trip for free. A new project entitled "First Overseas Experience Project" will be implemented from October to December.

 According to the Japan Association of Travel Agents, the target is a 20-year-old young man with Japanese nationality who has never traveled abroad and will apply from the dedicated website that will open on March 3nd.If there are many applicants, participants will be selected by lottery.Notification of the result is expected to be in June.

 The tour is scheduled to be held from October to December.Travel destinations are Kaohsiung in Taiwan, Seoul in South Korea, Hong Kong, Bangkok in Thailand, Guam and other Asian and Pacific countries and regions, where cultural and sports experiences, exchanges with local young people, and volunteer activities are planned.

 The cost is free.However, tax collection at overseas airports and facility usage fees at domestic airports will be required separately, but the passport acquisition fee will be fully covered after acquisition.

 With the progress of internationalization of the economy and society, there is an urgent need in Japan to develop young people with an international sense.For this reason, the executive council planned this project to support the first steps of young people who have no experience of traveling abroad and to broaden the base of global human resources.
