The Nara Institute of Science and Technology and Nara Medical University have established the Nara Institute of Advanced Medicine and Engineering Collaboration Organization. The organization aims to strengthen collaboration between the universities and contribute to the next generation of medical care and social welfare, and is positioned as a step toward becoming a university-institute collaboration promotion corporation promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

According to the Nara Institute of Science and Technology, the abbreviation for the organization is "MSTeC NARA." Based on the education and research exchanges that have been cultivated since the two schools signed a comprehensive agreement on mutual cooperation in 2009, the organization will promote medical and engineering collaboration, such as the medical implementation of engineering technology.

The University Collaboration Promotion Agency is an organization that crosses the boundaries between national, public and private universities to share human and material resources to enhance education and research. In order to respond to the diverse needs and challenges of society, we seek solutions by fusing medicine and engineering.
