From April, Keio University will recruit 4 students of "Interdisciplinary study of medicine and medical care, half-school and half-education" to develop human resources who will play an active role in the medical field from high school. Until March 2019, lectures, practical training, and group work will be repeated mainly on weekends, and some selected people will aim to make presentations at international conferences and participate in various Olympics.

 According to Keio University, the recruitment period is from April to August 4.The target is from 8 to 12 years old who are enrolled in high school and miscellaneous schools, and high school teachers can also participate.From the applicants, 15 primary selections will be selected through essays and interviews, and 18 secondary selections will be selected from among them.

 A kick-off meeting will be held on May 5th at the Hiyoshi Campus for applicants to provide basic lectures and individual consultations by international researchers.After that, the first selection will receive lectures and lectures on life science in general, as well as practical training to learn the basics of experiments, presentation guidance, and English dissertation reading sessions, mainly on weekends in August, December, and March.

 The second selection will conduct cutting-edge scientific research and exercises to participate in various Olympics in the laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Science and Engineering of the same university.In the fall, he will participate in overseas research training at the Karolinska Institute of Medicine in Sweden and Israel.

 In 2035, Japan will enter a super-aging society in which the number of elderly people aged 65 and over will reach 33.4%, so there is an urgent need to develop medicine and the medical field.For this reason, Keio University has participated in international research since high school in this project, aiming to develop human resources who will lead the world.
