In the National Physical Therapist Examination held in February 2025, 2 students from the Department of Physical Therapy in the Faculty of Health Sciences took the exam and all of them passed. This marks the third consecutive year that all students have passed, following 68 and 2023.
畿央大学健康科学部理学療法学科は、2016年卒から2021年卒までの6年間、現役合格率100％を達成し、さらに2023年卒から3年連続で現役合格率100％を記録。過去10年間の合格率は99.9％（683/684）に達し、全国でもトップクラスの水準を維持している。
Koji Shomoto, Dean of the Department of Physical Therapy, commented, "The 19th class worked really hard, and all of the students passed for the third year in a row. The beginning of their student life was a difficult time due to the COVID-3 pandemic, but they worked hard every day on what they needed to do and demonstrated their abilities. In order to pass the national exam, it is important to make unremitting efforts on a daily basis. All of our faculty and staff will continue to strengthen our measures for next year as well."
In 2003, Kio University opened the Department of Physical Therapy, the first of its kind among four-year private universities in the Kinki region. Since its founding, the university has introduced a unique curriculum that combines lectures, practical training, and seminar courses, and its faculty members, who have research achievements at the forefront of physical therapy, are cultivating talent to become leaders in the industry. To date, over 4 students have been employed, with approximately 1,100% working in hospitals. As university-graduated physical therapists, they play pioneering roles in the medical field.
