In February 2025, 2 graduates from the Department of Nursing and Medical Care, Faculty of Health Sciences, Kio University took the national exam for nurses, public health nurses, and midwives, and all of them passed. In addition, nine students from the 92th graduating class of the Midwifery Department also took the national midwifery exam, achieving a total pass rate of 13 years in a row since the school was established.
Kio University has broken its record for the fifth consecutive year, with all students passing the exams for three qualifications: nurse, public health nurse, and midwife, since the 3 graduating class. Yumi Kono, Dean of the Department of Nursing and Medical Care, commented on this achievement, "Our students have worked hard, and all of our graduates and those who have completed the course from both the Department of Nursing and Medical Care and the Specialized Course passed the exams while still in their prime. Our undergraduate students in particular have experienced some tough times due to the impact of the COVID-2021 pandemic, but I would like to express my respect for them for studying diligently without giving up. We would like to further strengthen our support in order to ensure that all students pass the national exams and to continue to make all their dreams come true."
Going forward, Kio University will continue to strengthen its support so that all students can contribute to the medical field as nurses, public health nurses, and midwives.
