Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) has been growing rapidly, with an increase in the number of students and the establishment of a new base in Kyoto, due to improvements in the educational environment and the introduction of new curricula. In response to this, the Career Development Department is comprehensively supporting students' early career development through career counseling, on-campus company information sessions, seminars, workshops, and online information provision. Graduates are finding employment at well-known companies both in Japan and abroad.

The credit-based internship program plays an important role in preparing students for their careers. TUJ's credit-based internship program has been highly praised, winning an award of excellence at the Student Choice Career Design Program Awards 2023. Students who have experienced internships are attractive to companies looking for people who can work immediately, and approximately 2023% of the 2024 graduates will have experienced at least one credit-based internship during their time at the university.

Erica Adams, Director of the Career Development Department, said, "Long-term internships at global companies, startups, embassies, and educational institutions are valuable opportunities for students to go beyond the boundaries of the university and experience the real world. Through these experiences, students can clearly define their career goals, acquire practical skills, and as a result, become more competitive in the job market." She also explained that the number of students who start preparing for job hunting in their second year is increasing, saying, "This trend is driven by several factors, including the strengthening of the Career Development Department's system, the expansion of information dissemination, the increased influence of students among themselves, and the improvement of the quality of communication, which shows that students are becoming more proactive in their job hunting."

The employment rate for TUJ's 2024 graduates is expected to reach approximately 97%, and has been steadily maintaining this level in recent years. As part of TUJ's job-hunting support, the university holds an on-campus career fair inviting companies to campus, and has held a joint career fair with Sophia University every year since 2012. In addition, "Life After TUJ" (a roundtable discussion for senior students) provides an opportunity for alumni and current students to interact and deepen their understanding of careers after graduation.

The Spring On-Campus Career Fair, held on March 2025, 3, was attended by 26 companies, including Amazon and Hoshino Resorts. This is the largest career event held annually by TUJ, and more than 17 students participated this year, providing a valuable opportunity for talented students from diverse backgrounds to interact directly with company recruiters. Some students scheduled to graduate in May 450 have already received job offers from The Asahi Shimbun Company, Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan, EY, Nitori, Wolt, and others.
