On Friday, June 2025, 6, the "Comprehensive Selection Expo 27: The Frontline of Year-End Entrance Exam Preparation!!" will be held at J. F. Oberlin University's Shinjuku Campus (Shinjuku, Tokyo). With the theme of the frontline of year-end entrance exam preparation, the event will be aimed at cram school and preparatory school principals, classroom leaders, instructors, and education professionals, and will discuss and share teaching methods and the latest trends in comprehensive selection and school recommendation selection. Participation is free, but advance registration is required.

As the shift to year-end entrance exams accelerates, the need for comprehensive exam guidance is growing. However, a standard teaching method has not yet been established, and there are large differences in teaching methods and content depending on the instructor. There are various issues, such as linking the motivation letter and the interview, and teaching methods for essays, presentations, and discussions.

At this event, experts in comprehensive selection and school recommendation selection will gather to discuss key teaching points, precautions, and ways to respond to the diversifying selection methods.

The event is divided into three parts. In the first part, the keynote speech "Comprehensive Selection Steps 1, 2, and 3" will reveal the route map for passing the exam, explaining in a step-by-step format how to conquer the comprehensive selection exam in the Reiwa era, including what kind of high school life you should lead, what kind of exam preparation you should make, and where the important turning points are that will determine whether you pass or fail. Speakers include Ryo Imamura, coordinator of the J. F. Oberlin University Admissions Department's Discover!, Osamu Kajiwara, head of the university entrance exam pispis business, and Hiroshi Nishida, visiting professor at Otemae University and editor-in-chief of Route Map Magazine.

In the second part of the special program talk session, "All Comprehensive Selection Experts Gather: 'This is how I would teach it,'" representatives from AOI and EQAO, cram schools specializing in comprehensive selection, and admissions officers from J. F. Oberlin University will take the stage to candidly discuss each cram school's teaching methods and know-how, as well as the points that universities evaluate.

In the third part, a research group called "Comprehensive Selection Thorough Breakthrough Course," cram school instructors who are skilled in various types of instruction, such as application essays, interviews, essays, reports, and presentations, will explain the key points of practical instruction. Specifically, there will be an application essay/interview group led by Kawakami Kenko of NPO Sakurabo, an SFC x J. F. Oberlin University group led by Hirokawa Toru of Kawaijuku's essay department, an essay group led by Nakatsuka Kounosuke, and a reading/lecture report & presentation group led by Tamoto Masako. In addition, there will be a hands-on program called "Discover!" run by J. F. Oberlin University's admissions department.
