Keio University and Kyushu University, Northeastern University in the United States, Baltimore County University in Maryland, Imperial College London in the United Kingdom, and Royal Holloway University in London have signed a charter agreement on international cybersecurity centers.
According to Keio University, the Charter on International Cyber Security Centers is set by INCS-CoE, an international collaborative organization run by the world's top 25 universities in Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Indonesia. It will be the first time in the world to sign in.
INCS-CoE was established in 2016 at the behest of Keio University. In cyberspace without borders, it is difficult for a single country to respond to sophisticated cyber attacks, and the purpose is to promote cross-border university collaboration. When it was first established, it started with a volunteer-based sponsorship organization in order to get more participation from the world's top universities, but Keio University says that it has become a stronger international organization by concluding a charter agreement.
Currently, Hitachi, Fujitsu, Cisco Systems, Adobe Systems, Northrop Grumman, etc. are participating as corporate members, and have been involved in international industry-academia-government collaboration, information sharing in the policy field, promotion of international research, etc. It is said that it will proceed to the above.
