Waseda University will hold an alumni collaboration program "Let's meet seniors!" In Nagasaki Prefecture from August 2019st to 8th, 21.

At Waseda University, which currently has about 5 students, about 1 of them are students from other than the three prefectures of Tokyo, and about 5 (as of 1) are foreign students.Currently, while regional revitalization is positioned as a nationally important issue, it is an important responsibility of Waseda University to develop human resources who can contribute to the region by employment of UI turn and entrepreneurship leading to regional revitalization as a university. I think it is one of them.

The alumni collaboration program "Let's go meet seniors!" Started in September 2017 as part of regional collaboration at Waseda University.Active students from Waseda University visit Waseda's seniors (alumni) who are active in various parts of Japan, and listen to their stories while experiencing life in the community.A program realized through collaboration between Waseda University and alumni association branches (organizations of graduates) nationwide. What kind of life did the seniors live after graduating, and what kind of dreams are they now focusing on in the community?By listening to the stories of seniors who are actually active in the area, active students will be aware of their future careers and lives, and will have a deeper understanding of the reality and charm of the area, and will be an opportunity to aim to work in the area in the future. It also becomes.

Six students participated in the alumni collaboration program "Let's go meet seniors!" In Nagasaki Prefecture. The seniors visited by the students are Mr. Atsushi Mori (graduate of the Faculty of Science and Engineering), the representative director of Kashuen Co., Ltd., a long-established Japanese confectionery store that has been in business for over 6 years. The "half-ripe castella" produced by Mr. Mori has become a huge hit product with a cumulative total of over 220 pieces, and has become a new standard souvenir from Nagasaki. In addition, seniors involved in the Nagasaki Prefectural Government, Nagasaki Shimbun, environmental energy business (solar power generation, biomass power generation), community gas business, and tutoring school will also visit.
