Reitaku University has completely renewed the iFloor (International Floor) on the 2nd floor of the school building "Asunaro". The opening ceremony will be held on September 2019, 9.
iFloor opened in 2011.The iLounge (International Lounge) has been set up as a facility for improving language proficiency, such as having native teachers stationed as a language salon, and has been used by international students and Japanese students. In 2017, the Reitaku Center for English Communication (CEC), consisting of 11 native faculty members, was established by incorporating cutting-edge technology and knowledge into English education at Reitaku University.
This time, iFloor has been completely renewed as a place for multifunctional self-access learning centered on learning English by dividing seven areas according to the activity content.
First, as a communication space, native teachers and student assistants will be stationed, and in addition to iLounge, which supports learning English, Comorebi Café will offer sweets such as drinks and cakes.
The study area is the Terrace, which is an open space surrounded by green nature, and the Collaborative Commons for groups are equipped with private project studios, Wi-Fi, and PC. It consists of four complete Media Zones and a Writing Center, an autonomous learning space where you can receive English composition instruction from native teachers.
In addition, a new Presentation Terrace has been created where workshops, activity briefings, and study abroad information sessions can be held.
The opening ceremony will be held from 2019:9 to 20:12 on September 20, 12, with greetings from the President, Vice President, and iFloor Coordinator, as well as exchanges between CEC teachers from each country and students, and a floor tour.Light meals are also served.
