The "Innovator Development Consortium for Industry-Academia Collaboration Education" conducted by Tohoku University, Kumamoto University, Osaka Prefecture University, and Rikkyo University has been adopted as a sustainable industry-academia joint human resource development system construction project promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.Tohoku University will be the core base for the project to train practitioner teachers who make use of their experience in industry and local governments.
According to Tohoku University, there are four schools in the consortium, as well as companies such as Panasonic, Agora Station, Mitsubishi Electric, Resona Bank, and 4 Bank, and local governments such as Osaka Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture, Sendai City, Toshima Ward, Tokyo, and Economy. The purpose of the project is to train practitioner teachers who are necessary for re-learning of working people, and the subjects of the course are working people who have the same academic ability as university graduates and have more than 5 years of practical experience. After learning the basics through online training common to all four universities, specialization will be developed through group training and specialized educational ability development courses that make use of the strengths of each university.The total study time will be 4 hours or more including home study.
