The National Institute of Science and Technology Policy (NISTEP) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has selected young researchers who have made significant contributions to science and technology since 2005 as "nice step researchers." In 2019, 640 people were selected from about 10 candidates.
According to NISTEP, we selected researchers, mainly young researchers in their 30s and 40s, who are not only conducting research activities but also widely returning results both domestically and internationally.The 10 people are active in various fields such as the use of satellite data for agriculture, space and medicine, fusion of AI and life science, basic research leading to the development of new materials and new drugs, and the establishment of university-launched ventures.
