In 1998, Chiba University was the first national university to introduce a jump-in admission system.Currently, it is conducted in 6 fields: Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Horticulture, Faculty of Letters, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Plant Life Sciences, and Human Sciences.
