Showa Women's University is recruiting students for "Showa Women's University Career College" to train the next generation of female leaders. In 2020, training was newly established not only for female managers but also for male managers.
Showa Women's University Career College is Japan's first "next-generation leader training school" established in 2014 to promote the career advancement of women throughout their lives.We aim to support the diversity management of companies where female university students will play an active role in the future, and to contribute to the value creation and sustainable development of companies.
The course includes "promotion of women's advancement" to foster next-generation leaders who will participate in corporate decision-making, "promotion of work style reform" to foster an organizational culture in which diverse human resources can play an active role, and mindset and skills that utilize diversity. The curriculum is renewed every year to meet the needs of society and the times, covering the three areas of "value creation through diversity" that nurtures.
In fiscal 2020, in addition to the conventional course for section chiefs, a new "female executive course" for senior managers (department managers and line managers) will be established to provide knowledge necessary for more senior managers. To acquire leadership with strategic thinking that is conscious of "management".In addition, "female mindset training" for general employees to manager-level women to think about the significance of aiming for their own career development and managerial positions, and "female managers" to acquire the knowledge necessary to promote diversity and inclusion.
