The Faculty of Letters of Chuo University will establish a new "Learning Passport Program" from April 2021.Students can freely cross the academic fields of the 4 majors set up in the Department of Humanities and Sociology of the Faculty of Letters, and at the time of admission, they choose either "social culture" or "sports culture" to belong to.
The enrollment capacity is 50 for both social and sports culture.Select either system at the time of admission procedure, not at the time of application, and belong for 4 years.Students create an original curriculum based on their own interests in the system to which they belong.The results will eventually be linked to graduation thesis or graduation thesis research.
In the socio-cultural system, we aim to acquire various perspectives and ways of thinking while discovering the connections between subjects by ourselves.Areas of study include international affairs, world heritage, diversity, museums, and performing arts.Those who are interested in multiple disciplines, such as studying history and art history related to museums, learning World Heritage from the perspective of politics and law, those who want to create their own ideas while listening to different opinions, volunteers We welcome people who are interested in studying abroad.
Areas of study in sports culture include sports culture, sports instruction, and the outdoors.We will analyze "sports culture" that can be shared across ages, genders, languages, and national borders from multiple perspectives, and learn sports culture as a "world language" together.We aim to develop students who will be coordinators for organizational development and systems that utilize sports as cultural resources and lead to the development of local communities in the age of internationalization.
