Musashi University has set the new vision of the university as "cultivating educated global citizens who understand different cultures and create the future" toward the 2022th anniversary of Musashi Gakuen in 100, and is promoting educational reform. In April 2022, we are planning to establish the Faculty of International Liberal Arts (tentative name) in order to develop the global leaders that society demands more than ever.
So far, Musashi University has "Parallel Degree Program (PDP) between London University and Musashi University" in the Faculty of Economics in 2015, "Global Studies Course (GSC)" in the Faculty of Humanities in 2017, Faculty of Sociology. We have promoted globalization throughout the university, such as by establishing the "Global Data Science Course (GDS)".
The College of Liberal Arts consists of 1 department and 2 majors (International Liberal Arts / Economics and Business Studies / Global Studies), and liberal arts & science education (general subjects, specialized subjects, foreign languages including a wide range of humanities and social sciences / natural sciences). Comprehensive learning centered on (subjects) and classes conducted in English to master the field of specialization.The enrollment capacity is planned to be 100 people.
Features include the ability to acquire advanced English proficiency, the ability to take a variety of subjects across faculties and majors, the ability to learn independently and communicate through seminars, and the spirit of collaboration, as well as economics and business administration. In the major, you can aim for a degree (BSc in Economics and Management) from the University of London through a parallel degree program with the University of London.In addition, the Global Studies major consists mainly of classes conducted in English, and it is possible to graduate only by studying abroad with them.
Furthermore, in order to tackle global issues that transcend national borders and regions, we will set up three fields, "Global Relations," "Global Communication Studies," and "Global Cultural Studies," and arrange subjects with various themes (under planning).
