Tokai University decided to stop accepting new students in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Faculty of Engineering in 2021, after the University of North Dakota, where it was studying abroad, canceled all flight training due to the spread of the new coronavirus.

According to Tokai University, students in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Faculty of Engineering, have been studying at the University of North Dakota for about 2 months in their second to third years, and have undergone flight training. The University of North Dakota has stopped flight training as the infection continues to spread.
For this reason, students who were studying abroad returned to Japan in the middle of training in March, and students who were planning to study abroad from April continue to postpone studying abroad.

With the spread of the infection in the United States uncertain, it is expected that flight training will be difficult to resume early, so the new students who accepted it obtained a pilot's license in a four-year curriculum. As it is difficult to graduate, the acceptance of new students in 4 will be stopped. Acceptance after 2021 will be decided based on the infection status of the new corona.

President Kiyoshi Yamada announced a comment saying, "I am very sorry for those who were thinking of taking the exam. I want them to understand the current situation."
