Otemon Gakuin University (Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture) held the first "Open Lecture" of the "Laughing Research Institute" established on October 50, 2015 as part of a commemorative project to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its founding. This course program starts with a lecture by Director Inoue (the first chairman of the Japan Laughter Society), who specializes in laughter studies and information media theory, "The benefits of laughter-laughing and living well".Next, Katsura's rakugo story "Polite Robot AL9000" was performed.This performance is a honorific rakugo created by Mr. Katsura himself in response to a request from the Agency for Cultural Affairs Japanese Language Researcher in 2007 to "make a rakugo that explains how to use the correct honorifics in an easy-to-understand manner."Finally, we are planning a roundtable discussion with three people, including Mr. Inoue, Mr. Katsura, and Mr. Masahiro Manabe (Professor, Faculty of International Liberal Arts, the same university) who specializes in modern Japanese literature.
