The School Education Law was amended, and in April 2019, the university system "Professional Universities / Professional Junior Colleges" that provides high-quality practical vocational education started.The purpose is to strengthen cooperation with industry and local communities, provide high-quality practical vocational education that responds quickly to changes in social conditions, and develop human resources that contribute to the development of Japan.
This time, while sharing the education, efforts, and achievements of each professional university and junior college, we aim to further improve the quality of education and widely disseminate it to the world, so 11 professional universities and short-term professionals nationwide Established a "professional college consortium" in which universities participate.
Share the efforts and results of each university through meetings once or twice a year and online meetings as necessary, and reflect them in improving the quality of management and education at each university.Furthermore, we aim to contribute to the development of professional universities and junior colleges by discussing and examining the significance of professional universities and junior colleges and their required roles.
The secretariat will be the Tokyo Professional University of Health Sciences and the Information Management Innovation Professional University, and will hold the "Professional University Consortium Establishment Launch Meeting" around the fall of 2020.
