The interview will be revived for the first time in 3 years in 2018 at the University of Tokyo's Science Class 11 entrance examination. The 3rd class of science, which goes to the medical school, is said to be the most difficult entrance examination in Japan, but the purpose is to reintroduce interviews and select human resources suitable for doctors from multiple perspectives. By the end of July, we will announce how to conduct the interview test, and it will be held from the entrance examination in February 7.

According to the University of Tokyo, the interview will be reintroduced in the second exam of the first semester.Teachers are free to ask questions without being bound by the manual, and evaluate their communication skills such as whether they are suitable for patients. We will consider the introduction to other classes by looking at the implementation status of science class 2.

The University of Tokyo conducted interviews in the second examination of the first semester from 1999 to 2007.At that time, I was asking questions that had been decided in advance, but I abolished it because it became possible to perform comprehensive personal evaluation after enrollment, such as compulsory clinical trials. However, there are some students who lack communication skills even if they enter with a high score, and some students are discouraged, and some students have little interest in medical care because they want to pass the most difficult entrance exams. I decided to reintroduce it.

Each faculty of the University of Tokyo is divided into a first-half course (faculty of liberal arts) consisting of six classes, liberal arts 1-3 and science 1-3, and a second-half course (specialized faculty) that receives specialized education in the faculties and departments that have been unofficially decided to go on to university. ..Of these, Science 6 will focus on biology, chemistry, and physics in the first semester, and will go on to medical school in the second semester.
