The VR content "Resurrection !! Virtual Reality Sun Tower Ver3" produced by students of the Department of Information Engineering and Information Media Engineering, Nippon Institute of Technology will be released from November 2020, 11 to January 21, 2021 in Okamoto, Kawasaki City. It will be published on the Taro Museum and the Internet.
At the request of the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art, Kawasaki City, Nippon Institute of Technology has reproduced the "Tower of the Sun" at the 1970 Osaka Expo as the VR Museum "Resurrection! VR Tower of the Sun". In 2018 Ver1, the exterior and interior of the tower were reproduced, and in 2019 Ver2, the version was upgraded by playing commentary narration and the same BGM as at the time of the Osaka Expo.
In this Ver3, three 4th grade students from the Oyama Laboratory of the Department of Computer Science worked on their graduation research and produced vivid computer graphics. In addition to the "Exterior of the Tower of the Sun," the VR video that reproduces the "Tree of Life inside the Tower" and "Underground Space" has three rooms, "Life," "People," and "Inori," and is magnificent by Taro Okamoto. Imagination is embodied.
This work will be released as a video on a large display in the Taro Okamoto Museum of Art, and will also be released to the public as a "360-degree video" on the Internet.
