At the Global Risk Solutions Center (GRSC), Graduate School of International Public Policy, Osaka University, Professor Toshiya Tsukamoto, the chief researcher, will start joint research in collaboration with 6th Co., Ltd. in September 2019.As one of the results this time, we are planning to develop a crisis management e-learning program for students who are planning to travel abroad, such as international volunteer activities, and provide it to universities and educational institutions from 9.

Normally, at Japanese universities, risk training for pre-departure students is only conducted for about 1 to 2 hours just before departure, and they are dispatched without fully confirming how well the students understand. Is the current situation. In addition, many of the training conducted by the university is for students who participate in regular exchange program or training approved by the university, and it is suitable for general overseas programs such as personal study abroad, overseas training, internships, and volunteer activities. In many cases, the participating students are out of reach. It can be said that it is a risk management issue for universities that students are involved in disasters and crimes overseas.

Against this background, GRSC has developed a crisis management e-learning program with the aim of improving the risk awareness and risk response capabilities of students traveling overseas from Japanese educational institutions. This program quantifies the student's understanding of risk management in AD rank and "visualizes" it, such as "preparation for terrorism", "response to disasters overseas", and "drug-related matters". However, each person can grasp the level of understanding of his / her risk.

In addition, it is possible to analyze the degree of understanding of each student's understanding of the risks associated with studying abroad for each university, faculty, and study abroad program, and it is also possible to provide students with advice based on the analysis results.Furthermore, considering the situation of with corona / after corona, the contents include basic corona countermeasures or general infectious disease countermeasures.

The e-learning program "for students participating in global activities (study abroad, training, etc.)" is currently in the stage of systematization and trial, and is scheduled to be provided to universities and educational institutions from 2021.In the future, it will be provided as a web application and will be available in two languages, Japanese and English. In addition, we are developing a crisis management e-learning program for faculty members of the dispatching university and for international students coming to Japan from overseas.
