Niigata University has opened the "Job Hunting Support Room", an online interview space that can be used free of charge by job students at the Ikarashi Campus Central Library in Ikarashi, Nishi-ku, Niigata City, and Tokimito, Sasaguchi Station South Campus, Chuo-ku, Niigata City.Tokimei is a member of the Higher Education Consortium. University students, graduate students, technical college students, and the Central Library in Niigata Prefecture can be used by students of Niigata University.
According to Niigata University, the opening hours are from 9 am to 8 pm from Tuesday to Saturday and from 9 am to 4:1 pm on Sunday.Closed on Mondays. It can be used by only one person and requires advance reservation.
The Central Library is open from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays.It can be used for up to 120 minutes by interview and preparation.Closed on weekends, advance telephone reservation is required.Multiple use is not permitted. Both venues will be open for a limited time until the end of March, but we will consider extending them depending on the usage situation.
With the spread of the new coronavirus infection, companies are increasingly using online interviews for recruitment activities.However, students who are looking for a job have expressed anxiety such as "it takes time and money to build a stable online environment" and "it is difficult to secure an environment where you can concentrate on online interviews".
In response to this, Niigata University established an online interview space in consultation with NTT East Niigata Branch and member schools of the Higher Education Consortium.
