The IoT platform led by Professor Tetsuya Yokotani of the Faculty of Engineering, Kanazawa Institute of Technology has been recognized as an international standard by the Joint Technical Committee of the International Standardization Committee and the International Electrotechnical Commission.Graduate students of the Graduate School of Engineering, Kanazawa Institute of Technology also contributed to the research with a mechanism that enables the transfer of a huge amount of data while maintaining a connection with e-mail and the existing Internet.

According to Kanazawa Institute of Technology, this platform was developed as a platform specialized for IoT with specifications that enable more efficient data transfer than the conventional method using IP addresses and DNS servers.

The research was commissioned by Kanazawa Institute of Technology as part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's strategic international standardization acceleration project, and Professor Yokotani served as the representative researcher.Graduate students participate in research analysis and principle verification as research assistants and contribute to development.
