Waseda University High School and Waseda University Honjo High School have started an industry-academia collaboration program "Waseda University High School-Honjo High School Joint Corporate Collaboration Workshop".Five third-year high school students from Waseda University will devise solutions to the problems that companies are actually facing, and propose them to the top of the company while receiving advice from companies and Waseda University students.The period is from February 3rd to March 5rd, 2021.
The program being implemented this time is positioned as an introductory education before entering university, and through the workshop, creativity, proposal ability, presentation ability, ability to work as a team, and "strong intelligence (= no answer) required after entering Waseda University" The purpose is to acquire the ability to tackle problems, formulate one's own hypothesis, and derive the answer).
The theme to be tackled is "Let's think about how to utilize new treated water and water purification plants with an eye on the future! "something like.Nowadays, in Japan, problems such as a decrease in water tariff income and an excess of facilities such as water purification plants and sewage treatment plants are occurring.Through the workshop, students will freely propose ideas such as treated water, recovered energy, water purification plants, and effective utilization methods of sewage treatment plants in accordance with such social conditions and changes in the surrounding environment.
All five programs will be conducted using Zoom and SNS.Students are supported by Waseda students from both schools, and employees of Swing Engineering Co., Ltd., who are currently enrolled in Waseda University Business School, serve as facilitators.
