　"Jiro-style spaghetti" was born in the idea menu contest held by the Kyushu University Co-op in the 1980s.Since then, it has been popular as a specialty menu in the school cafeteria of Kyushu University for over 30 years. After disappearing in 2015, a restaurant run by Fukuya learned the cooking method from Kyushu University Co-op in 2017 and offered it as an eat-in menu. From 2019, it is sold as a retort pasta sauce.
