The Faculty of Data Science, Shiga University is scheduled to open in April 2017.Capacity is 4 people.It processes and organizes accumulated big data, analyzes it, visualizes hints contained in the data, and positions academics and data science that lead to the solution of social problems.
Students will study statistics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, image information processing, etc., and from the first grade, they will learn on-site ideas and problem-solving methods through practical training in collaboration with government agencies, companies, and research institutes. In the 1rd and 3th grades, we will try to solve problems using data in the field of the real world.
The trainees are data scientists with knowledge of both humanities and sciences, and can also acquire qualifications such as social researcher and information processing engineer.
