This tournament is sponsored by the Japan Society for Aeronautics and Astronautics for the purpose of popularizing flying robots and supporting the education of students in designing, manufacturing, and testing techniques.This year, Ota Ward, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Daejeon Business Creation Council (OBK) co-sponsored, Japan UAS Industry Promotion Council (JUIDA) sponsorship, and many other companies sponsored by Ota Ward system. 　The contest targets flying robots designed by students and competes in missions that assume the transportation of emergency supplies to the disaster area.A total of 1 people, 4 operator and 5 assistants, will be one team, and the flight will start from the runway and heliport. After clearing the mission set in, return.Flying robots are judged for their flight performance, originality, safety, aircraft, and flight videos, and their ranking is decided.
In 2016, 52 student teams from all over the country entered the general division / autopilot division / multicopter division / unique design division.

　A poster session will be held at the same time on the 27th, and all teams participating in the tournament will explain the concept, design method, safety points, etc. of the aircraft in English.The best poster award is also selected by the votes of the participants.The tour is free, and the tournament will be broadcast on the Internet.

　At the 2015th competition in 11, Akita National College of Technology won the general category, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology in the automatic control category, and Tokyo Metropolitan College of Industrial Technology in the multicopter category.
