Sanjo Ohashi Bridge in Kamogawa, Kyoto, known as the starting point to the west of the Tokaido. At the Yasuhisa Suzuki Seminar of the Faculty of Contemporary Social Studies, Kyoto Sangyo University, we created a public relations poster to raise awareness of the donation system so that many people will know about the complete renovation of Sanjo Ohashi for the first time in about 70 years. We are working.
The Sanjo Ohashi Bridge is said to have been built during the Muromachi period, and the wooden giboshi is a historic bridge that was renovated by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. After that, it was rebuilt many times, and about 1950 years have passed since the current bridge was rebuilt in 70 (the wooden balustrade was updated in 1974).Although there is no problem with safety, the city is aging, so Kyoto City started the "Sanjo Ohashi Repair / Landscape" project in 2020.
Yasuhisa Suzuki's seminar is active under the theme of "a society where water creates new value."The "Sanjo Ohashi Team", which consists of five students who belong to the Suzuki Seminar and are working to convey the charm of Sanjo Ohashi, is a "corporate version" from the Kyoto City Bridge Health Promotion Division for the first complete renovation of Sanjo Ohashi in 5 years. We also received the issue of "Investigating and examining an effective publicity method for the donation system to Sanjo Ohashi using the personal version of the hometown tax payment."
To meet this challenge, the "Sanjo Ohashi Team" created a poster with a jigsaw puzzle piece as a donation, and the donations gathered to create an image that would lead to renovation. The poster will be posted on all stations of the Kyoto Municipal Subway until May 5, and will be posted on the route buses (about 9) operated by four Keihan affiliated buses.
Furthermore, in order to make the value of Sanjo Ohashi widely known, we cooperated with Sasaki Sake Brewery Co., Ltd., which has been loved by the people of Kyoto for many years in Rakuchu, Kyoto.Using the poster design as the label for the sake "Ancient City", he produced "Sanjo Ohashi Limited Label Sake" as a gift for the hometown of Kyoto City. This Sanjo Ohashi limited label sake can be purchased not only as a return item for hometown tax payment but also at the store of Sasaki Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. for one month only.
