The Department of Mechanical Engineering of Osaka Institute of Technology will set up a new "Research Promotion Class" from students enrolled in 2022.In order to solve the current situation where there is concern about the decline in Japan's research capabilities and international competitiveness, we aim to develop human resources who can engage in world-class research and development in the six years from the bachelor's program to the master's program.
The "Research Promotion Class" selects up to 16 students who have passed the entrance examination with excellent grades. One faculty member will give one-on-one guidance to one student from the time of admission to the undergraduate school, and will pay dividends only for research promotion classes.
High-level, small-group lessons enable students to acquire solid expertise and start early research activities.In the 4th year of the undergraduate program, he will develop his research activities with plenty of time, such as pre-empting classes for graduate school dividends, and acquire practical research and development skills that are world-class.
From the 3rd year of the undergraduate program, we carry out research activities directly linked to the graduate school, and promise a fulfilling laboratory activity in the 2 years up to the 4nd year of the graduate school (master's program).In addition to providing all classes with an amount equivalent to the graduate school tuition fee for about one year, we have established a support system for domestic and overseas research activity expenses (travel expenses, accommodation expenses, conference participation fees, etc.), which is economically stable research.
