Cyber University (Higashi-ku, Fukuoka City), a distance learning university operated by a private company, will introduce a new comprehensive selection system as its entrance examination system in the 2027 academic year, and will establish a comprehensive selection scholarship that will reduce tuition fees by up to half. The university states that this will alleviate the financial burden on motivated students and provide a more accessible learning environment.

According to Cyber University, scholarships are available to those aged 18 to 20 at the time of enrollment. Those who apply exclusively to Cyber University and can guarantee enrollment if accepted will receive a 50% tuition reduction, while those applying to other universities will receive a 30% reduction. The selection process does not involve a written exam; instead, applicants will be evaluated based on their high school grades, qualifications such as the IT Passport and Management Accounting certifications, and their future aspirations. The enrollment capacity is 200 students, with a small number of transfer students planned.

Cyber University is operated by Cyber University Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of SoftBank Group. Established in 2007, it currently offers only one faculty: the Faculty of Comprehensive IT Studies. Because commuting is not required, students can continue their studies without time or location constraints, while balancing work and family life.

Up until now, we have primarily used the general selection process for our selection criteria. However, in order to evaluate applicants from a more multifaceted and comprehensive perspective, we have decided to adopt a comprehensive selection method that emphasizes initiative and diversity, which cannot be fully evaluated through the general selection process.

<Comprehensive Selection [Exclusive Application] [Multiple Applications] Category A>
