However, in 2027, the number of universities holding exams in January will decrease significantly, resulting in an extremely crowded schedule of exams in early February. In particular, entrance exams for mid-tier universities with similar academic levels and applicant demographics will be concentrated on the same day.
The company's "Study Chart Lab" is conducting an analysis of the 2027 entrance exam schedule and application strategies. According to this analysis, overlapping exam dates are expected to have a significant impact on the number of applicants. Universities that do not have overlapping exam dates with other universities are likely to attract a large number of applicants, while universities with overlapping exam dates may attract mainly "highly motivated applicants who consider the university their top choice," so it is not necessarily the case that it will be easier to pass. Furthermore, the analysis states that the magnitude of the impact will differ depending on the combination of universities with overlapping exam dates.
