Showa Women's University achieves a 96.1% actual employment rate for its 2025 graduates, ranking 2nd nationwide among women's universities and 11th among all universities.

　Showa Women's University will have 1,573 graduates in the 2025 academic year (including those graduating in September 2025). The actual employment rate remained high at 96.1%, continuing the high level from the previous year. This employment rate ranks second among women's universities with more than 1,000 graduates nationwide, and even in the overall ranking of national, public, and private universities, where engineering and national/public universities occupy the top spots, it boasts a strong employment record at 11th place.

　For graduates of the 2025 academic year, the job market remained favorable for students due to the continued labor shortage, creating a "seller's market" environment. Looking at the employment figures for Showa Women's University graduates, over 4% secured general or semi-general positions, while only 10% were in administrative roles, clearly indicating a stronger preference for generalist positions among students.

　Systems engineers (SEs) accounted for 11% of the job categories, while other "technical positions," including architectural drafting and food-related fields, accounted for 15%, and professional positions requiring certifications accounted for 12%, indicating a growing trend of aspiring to specialized fields in diverse areas. In addition, the travel and aviation industries were also seen to be recovering due to the expansion of inbound tourism demand. Approximately 12% of the companies where they found employment were among the top 400 companies.
