In order to realize the philosophy of the Tottori Prefecture Sign Language Ordinance, which builds a society in which deaf and non-deaf people can understand each other and live together, high school students from all over the country will hold various performances using sign language. By creating and disseminating opportunities, many people will be able to realize the appeal of sign language and how sign language is an excellent means of conveying intentions and information. With the aim of contributing to revitalization, the "National High School Sign Language Performance Koshien" will be held in Tottori Prefecture, the "mecca of sign language."
In addition, 5 marks the 10th anniversary of the enactment of the Sign Language Ordinance, which was established in Tottori Prefecture ahead of the rest of the country, and the Sign Language Performance Koshien will also be the 10th tournament, which will be a turning point. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the enactment of the Sign Language Ordinance, the 10th National High School Sign Language Performance Koshien will be held.
