A world-leading medical university that combines tradition and achievements

Opened in 1950 as Hokkaido Medical University.For a long period of more than half a century, we have fostered medical personnel with rich humanity and have greatly contributed to the improvement of health, medical care, and welfare in Hokkaido.Currently, there are two faculties and four departments, one is the Faculty of Medicine, which is training clinical abilities and technologies in response to the diversifying development of medicine and medical care, and the other is the Faculty of Health Sciences, which is training the ability to support people's health from the aspect of life.Students from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences jointly stay in each area of ​​Hokkaido to develop distinctive education such as a regional medical joint seminar where medical training is conducted.
