Seisa University was established in 2004 as part of the Seisa Group, which conducts educational projects, domestic and international support projects, and education-related businesses.
Starting as a distance learning-only faculty, Seisa University now offers master's programs, professional degree programs, and doctoral programs, aiming to support a diverse range of children, create an educational environment, and provide a place for adults to learn and contribute to an inclusive society.
One of the stated objectives of establishing the Faculty of Symbiotic Sciences is to create a university where "anyone can learn anytime, anywhere," aiming to provide a learning environment that corrects information disparities in terms of human resources, time, and location, such as occupation, region, and individual time constraints.

All faculty and staff are well-versed in distance learning and remote teaching using media, so even those living far from the venue or overseas can aim to graduate from university or obtain qualifications with minimal burden.
Furthermore, we strive to be a university that is considerate to its students, showing understanding and respect for students who are studying alongside work, academics, housework, childcare, elder care, sports activities, social activities, etc.
Furthermore, there are two enrollment periods per year, in April and October, and a wide variety of enrollment categories, including regular students, non-degree students, students pursuing qualifications (undergraduate), special students (undergraduate), correspondence courses accredited under the Teacher Licensing Act (graduate school), educational seminars (graduate school), and research students (graduate school). A learning environment is provided that is tailored to the wishes and circumstances of each individual student.
One of Seisa University's key features is that there is no time limit on enrollment, allowing students to study at their own pace across more than 300 courses, tailored to their interests. Just as everyone's circumstances are different, so are their learning paces and goals. Since our university does not impose a time limit on enrollment, you can progress through your studies according to your own lifestyle and future aspirations.

You can choose a tuition payment method that suits your purpose and circumstances.
Seisa University offers two payment options: a pay-per-credit system based on the number of credits taken, and a fixed annual fee. You can choose the payment method that best suits your situation. (Tuition is cheaper than on-campus classes, about one-quarter of the cost).

Tuition fees until graduation (for first-year students): 1,105,000 yen (approximately 270,000 yen per year on average)
• Junior and Senior High School Health and Physical Education Teacher's License / University Graduate (First Year Enrollment): 1,300,000 yen (including teaching practice management fees, etc.)
• Elementary school teacher's license (obtained in 2 years): 860,000 yen (including teaching practice management fees, etc.)
• Specialist in Special Needs Education (Certificate Program): 319,000 yen
- Studying one subject as a non-degree student: 50,000 yen
To support students' learning, we offer one-on-one tutors to guide each student towards achieving their goals, a comprehensive learning and employment support center that provides career support, learning assistance, and mental support, an online learning management system (LMS) that allows students to interact with course instructors and other students, and a telephone consultation service available even on weekends and holidays.

It is possible to obtain teaching licenses for all school levels.
At Seisa University, you can aim to obtain teaching licenses for kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school (social studies, health and physical education, English), high school (geography, history, civics, health and physical education, English), and special needs schools (5 subjects). The curriculum is primarily online, and many working adults are studying there.
Despite being a distance learning university, you can obtain teaching licenses for health and physical education at junior and senior high schools, as well as teaching licenses for special needs schools in five different areas. The themes of individualized optimal learning and the inclusion of diversity are important themes common to all of Seisa University's teacher training programs. Valuable experiences as an athlete or in the professional world can be utilized in the field of school education, providing the planning skills, supportive abilities, and diverse resources expected of future teachers.
We also offer guidance sessions for teacher training programs aimed at obtaining a teaching license, as well as courses to prepare students for teacher employment examinations. In the guidance sessions, students can learn about Seisa University's philosophy and approach to teacher training, as well as get an overview of the entire teacher training program, including the procedures and schedule for obtaining a teaching license.
The teacher recruitment exam preparation course, held annually to coincide with the recruitment exam period, provides the latest information on the exam, as well as practical content on essay writing, individual interviews, situational guidance, and mock lessons, allowing participants to approach the exam with confidence.
