In April 2017, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Meguro-ku, Tokyo) will open a women's dormitory "Washokuike House" with a capacity of 4 people on three floors above ground.With the number of female students quadrupled in the last 3 years, we would like to appeal to more female students who want to study at science and technology universities and graduate schools by improving the convenience of female students and creating an environment where they can fully learn.
Tokyo Institute of Technology started a new education system in April 2016. With the slogan "From Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan to Tokyo Tech in the world," we are aiming for education that emphasizes "diversity."
The women's dormitory is a 3-minute walk from the scenic Washoku Pond (Ota-ku, Tokyo), and is a great location to reach the Ookayama campus in 15 minutes on foot or by bicycle in 5 minutes.Also, because you can go to school through Senzokuike Park, it is ideal for taking a break or changing your mood between studies and research.In addition, it is a mixed-living type of Japanese students and international students, and it is possible to foster an international sense through living in diverse cultures.
The interior design was designed with the living space of women in mind.Based on white, it is finished with wood flooring, and each private room has a storage space and indoor drying.A washbasin, a large shoe box, and a full-length mirror will also be installed.
