In Hokkaido, next-generation semiconductor manufacturing company Lapidus is building a factory in Chitose City, and digital-related industries are expected to gather in Hokkaido, creating a greater need for IT human resources than ever before. In response, the four parties will extend their collaboration agreement and accelerate efforts among industry, government, and academia.
The partnership agreement was signed by Sapporo City, Hokkaido University, and Nitori Holdings in 2019, with Hokkaido joining in 2021.
