According to the private university, of the budget plan, private university ordinary expenses subsidy is 5 billion yen, which is 3,159 million yen more than the previous year.The breakdown was 15 billion yen for general subsidies, an increase of 2,712 billion yen from the previous year, and 10 billion yen for special subsidies, a decrease of 447 billion yen.
Of the special subsidies, the private university research branding business and the management strengthening intensive support business were reduced, but the private university reform comprehensive support business was increased by 16 billion yen to 147 billion yen from the previous year.The reduction and exemption of tuition fees will be increased by 47 billion yen to 177 billion yen, and the number of eligible students will be increased to about 9.
The promotion cost for facility and equipment maintenance was 93 billion yen, which is 195 billion yen higher than the previous year.The breakdown is 86 billion yen, an increase of 136 billion yen in earthquake-resistant reconstruction costs, and 7 billion yen, an increase of 59 million yen in the development of education and research facilities.It has also been announced that the earthquake-resistant reconstruction project will be extended until FY2020.The increased amount of 86 billion yen will be included in the budget as a temporary and special measure for consumption tax increase measures, and will be used as emergency maintenance costs for critical infrastructure.
In the tax reform bill, the lump sum donation of educational funds was extended by two years, and the age limit was extended to 2 years old.The private university said that both the budget proposal and the tax reform proposal were in line with the requests of the private university.
